Saudi Arabia shuts East–West crude pipeline after drone attacks

On 10 September, Saudi Arabia shut its 7 mbpd East–West pipeline after multiple drone attacks reportedly originating from Iraq. The line has been the kingdom’s primary export route since the Strait of Hormuz effectively closed earlier in 2026 due to the US–Iran conflict.
