TDK Ventures backs C2i Semiconductors in push to improve AI data-center power delivery

TDK Ventures has invested in C2i Semiconductors, a company developing software-defined voltage regulator platforms aimed at improving power delivery in AI data centers.

C2i’s technology is projected to achieve more than 96% power conversion efficiency, according to the research summary. That level of efficiency could help reduce heat and energy consumption in data centers, where power delivery has become a growing challenge as AI workloads intensify.

The investment highlights the increasing importance of power-management technology in the broader AI infrastructure build-out. As data centers handle heavier AI computing demands, efficiency in converting and delivering power is becoming a key constraint alongside chips, cooling and physical capacity.
